Welcome to the home page of Newton Appraisal Associates. We are located in Greenfield, in beautiful Western Massachusetts. Yes, there is life west of Route 495! Greenfield is located in Franklin County at the foot of the Berkshires. We service most of Western Massachusetts, including Franklin County, Hampshire County and also many of the towns in Hampden County.
For those of you who are first time visitors, let me introduce you to some of the area. Franklin County has many features, including The Mohawk Trail, the country's oldest scenic route, the historic village of Old Deerfield, Poet's Seat Tower, the Deerfield River, as well as the Connecticut River. Four season recreation is available throughout the area. A couple of examples are skiing at Berkshire East Ski Resort and whitewater rafting at Crabapple Whitewater, both in the western part of Franklin County.
The entire area is known for it's great educational opportunities. There are local community colleges in both Holyoke and Greenfield. There is also the Five-College area which includes the University of Massachusetts, Hampshire College and Amherst College, all in Amherst, with Smith College in Northampton, and Mt Holyoke College in South Hadley. These colleges share educational and cultural resources.
